It’s FRESHERS WEEK next week!
Basically this is the best chance the PhotoSoc has this year of being able to pick up lots of new members for the coming year. That means more people to talk to, more people to pay membership monies and generally make the PhotoSoc more than a half dozen guys down the pub.
We *need* volunteers to hand out flyers! This would be primarily during Fresher’s Fair on the 14th and 15th of August next week. We’ve booked the Humanities Lecture Theatre (in the Main Building) for 2pm on the 15th to do a wee talk and collect membership details, so we’d also need a few people to help out at that time.
If you will be free at any time on the 14th or 15th (or other times next week you think would be useful) please get in touch and we’ll meet up on the 14th/15th or give you a bunch of flyers beforehand. This is really important for GUPS to be fun this year, it’ll be little effort and much fun!

On another note: if you are interested in some fantastic cinema this Friday from 8pm, the GFT is showing the fully restored reprint of “Metropolis” at 8pm and then “Brazil” at 10:30pm this Friday.
